So so so good!! Got for lunch with friends. Local place with quality food. A must go for good italian food. We got a buff chick wrap, chicken Caesar wrap, and a cutlet veggie plate. Very large portions- only able to eat half and the chicken cutlets are amazing. Defs recommend

Good place for quick lunch! I got salami mozzarella sandwich with lettuce and tomato, and my partner got grilled chicken sandwich with moz, roasted red pepper and pesto. Sandwiches are really good and could tell that all ingredients are so fresh. It was a huge portion, so worth the price!

Part of the heart of Jersey city for over 33 years, Milanos is the working persons Italian deli. It serves classic Italian dishes and sandwiches to perfection. The flavor is traditional and welcoming to those who remember good Italian food. It is very budget friendly and the type of place you always want to go to. The greatest part is that the regulars are welcomed by first name. It is a sign that the owners care for their customer and want to assure that they are home to satisfy their hunger. I will definitely return and become one of them. Give it a try.

You walk into Milano’s Deli, tucked away in the glass-and-steel sprawl of Jersey City’s Exchange Place, and for a fleeting moment, you forget you’re standing in the shadow of Manhattan’s towering ambition. Here, there’s no pretense. No meticulously curated Instagram aesthetic. Just a deli that’s been unapologetically itself longer than most of the finance bros nearby have been alive. The smell hits you first—warm bread, thin slices of cured meat, vinegar-soaked peppers, and the faint metallic tang of a well-seasoned meat slicer that’s seen more action than a dockworker’s punch card. This isn’t some artisanal façade peddling nostalgia at $18 a sandwich. Milano’s is the real deal. The kind of place where the mozzarella is fresh enough to weep, and the prosciutto has the decency to bite back. You order the Italian combo because you’re not here to mess around. Layers of salami, capicola, mortadella, provolone—stacked like a love letter to gluttony, kissed with oil and vinegar, hugged by bread with just the right amount of give. Each bite is a reminder that simple things, when done right, don’t need reinvention. They just need respect. The guys behind the counter aren’t here to charm you. They’ve got sandwiches to make, lives to live. There’s an art to that kind of indifference—a quiet confidence that comes from knowing you’ve got nothing to prove. And they don’t. Because Milano’s isn’t a trend. It’s an institution. So you sit there, a paper-wrapped masterpiece in your hands, watching the world rush by outside—the suits, the smartphones, the endless churn of progress. But inside, time slows down. Just a man, a sandwich, and the undeniable truth: this is what food should be. Honest. Uncomplicated. Perfect.

What a place! Huge selection of incredible dishes and love the up beat attentive staff. From the old school complimentary bruschetta to snack on whilst waiting for your order to the old decor this is just the deli you have been looking for. Don’t even think about going here if you aren’t hungry as the portions are MASSIVE, and the price tough to bet as soooo reasonable. I loved the sandwich and will be back here on my next trip, just wished I lived a LOT closer.

Great deli for grabbing lunch. Food is always fresh and tasty and they give you good portions for a very fair price. Usually the same group working and I've always received really good service.

Been coming here since early 2000s. Chicken cutlet. Fresh calamari. Prosciutto fresh motz . Can’t wait to go back again. The hidden gem is to take the time and eat the sandwich in the courtyard in the back. Best lunch retreat in the area.
